services/beyond-wp

Beyond WordPress. The right tool for the job.

Not every website needs WordPress. Sometimes a static site in Astro, a headless CMS or a feature written from scratch is the better choice. I advise on what makes sense in your case — and build it.

scope

What’s included.

  • Static sites in Astro

Very fast websites with no database and no login panel to attack. Great for business cards, portfolios and product pages. This website works that way too.

  • Headless CMS

A friendly content editor decoupled from the presentation layer. You can keep WordPress as the back end or choose another CMS.

  • Landing pages

Single pages for campaigns and products: fast, measurable and built to convert.

  • Custom features

Calculators, forms, API integrations and automations in PHP and JavaScript — where an off-the-shelf plugin isn’t enough.

  • Modern hosting

Deployments on Cloudflare and similar platforms: a global server network, high resilience to traffic spikes and low running costs.

  • An honest recommendation

Before we start, I compare the options in terms of cost, ease of editing and maintenance. If WordPress turns out to be better — I’ll say so.

faq

Questions about this service.

Don’t see your question? Drop me a line — I’ll give you a straight answer.

Can I edit content on a static website myself?

Yes. I can connect a friendly editor (a headless CMS) or set up a simple way to update content. The choice depends on how often you change things.

When is WordPress better, and when is Astro?

WordPress works well when you publish often, need a store or lots of ready-made extensions. Astro — when speed, security and low running costs matter most and content changes less often.

Can you add a feature to an existing website?

Yes. I add custom features, integrations and fixes to existing websites — including ones I didn’t build.
